The Halloween Dimension Egg in Steal an Egg costs 2,250 Candy Corn, and you can only buy it at the Halloween Event Shop in the safe zone of the dimension. It hatches one of five pets: Candy Corn (51%), Hollow Bat (24%), Scarecrow (18%), Pumpkin Golem (6.5%) and the chase pet, Soul Phantom (0.5%). No Robux, no code, no trading. Just Candy Corn and time.
The catch? That 0.5% is brutal, and most players burn their first few eggs without knowing it. Here’s what each egg really costs, what you can realistically expect, and when the grind pays off.
What Is the Halloween Dimension Egg (and What It Isn’t)?
It’s the limited-time event egg sold inside the Corrupted Realm, the spooky side map you reach through the portal beside the Trails Shop at spawn. It’s one of the 23 event pets the Halloween Dimension update added without Robux.
Don’t confuse it with the Halloween Egg in the main store. That one costs Robux, draws from a completely different pool, and has its own Zombified re-roll. Pets from one egg don’t overlap with the other, so hatching both fills out more of the event collection. More on the split further down.
Halloween Dimension Egg Hatch Odds: All 5 Pets
The shop panel lists a fixed pool. Every hatch rolls independently, so a bad run never “banks” luck for the next egg.
| Pet | Rarity | Hatch chance |
| Candy Corn | Legendary | 51% |
| Hollow Bat | Mythic | 24% |
| Scarecrow | Cosmic | 18% |
| Pumpkin Golem | Secret | 6.5% |
| Soul Phantom | Eternal | 0.5% |
Read that table honestly. Half your eggs will be the Legendary Candy Corn pet. Three in four will be Candy Corn or Hollow Bat. Only about one egg in fifteen gives you the Pumpkin Golem, and the Soul Phantom shows up roughly once per 200 eggs.
How Do You Buy the Halloween Dimension Egg?

- Enter the dimension. Step through the glowing portal next to the Trails Shop. Some reports mention a Speed requirement of around 2.5 million at the gate, while other players say they walked straight in, so check at the portal if it rejects you.
- Earn 2,250 Candy Corn. Methods are in the next section.
- Find the Halloween Event Shop by the giant pumpkin in the safe zone.
- Select the Halloween Dimension Egg and buy it. Stack several purchases before you leave to save portal trips.
- Walk back through the portal and hatch it at your base.
If the egg doesn’t appear, you’re probably at the wrong shop. The Robux Halloween Egg lives in the main store’s Featured tab, not here.
How Much Candy Corn Do You Need, and What’s the Fastest Route?
One egg is 2,250. Here’s how long each income source takes to get there.
| Method | Reported payout | Rough count for one egg |
| Pumpkin Collection Event win | 1,000 | About 3 wins |
| Steal an egg and return it to the safe zone | About 100 per egg | About 23 runs |
| Kill high-value monsters (Soul Phantom, Pumpkin Golem) | About 65 per kill | About 35 kills |
| Kill low-value monsters | About 12 per kill | About 188 kills |
| Fish with the Haunted Rod | 20 to 40 per catch | About 57 to 113 catches |
In practice the best session mixes everything. Join every Pumpkin round, fight the two high-paying monsters between rounds, and carry eggs home as you move. Save your heavy fighting for a Blood Moon, a random event that doubles Candy Corn from monster kills for a few minutes. Reports disagree on whether it also doubles egg returns and Pumpkin wins, so watch your counter the first time one hits.

Ghosts chase you while you carry an egg, and one hit knocks it loose. They don’t pay Candy Corn, so run instead of fighting.

What Does Chasing the Soul Phantom Actually Cost?
This is where the math gets uncomfortable. At a 0.5% hatch chance, the average is one Soul Phantom per 200 eggs, which is 450,000 Candy Corn. Averages hide the spread, though. Here’s your real chance of landing at least one:
| Eggs bought | Candy Corn spent | Chance of at least one Soul Phantom |
| 5 | 11,250 | About 2.5% |
| 10 | 22,500 | About 4.9% |
| 50 | 112,500 | About 22% |
| 100 | 225,000 | About 39% |
Even 100 eggs leaves you more likely to miss than hit. If the Soul Phantom is your only goal, you’re signing up for a long grind inside a seven-day window, and that’s before accounting for the fact that Part 2 of the event may change prices or rewards.
Halloween Dimension Egg vs the Robux Halloween Egg
| Detail | Halloween Dimension Egg | Halloween Egg |
| Cost | 2,250 Candy Corn | From 99 Robux for one egg |
| Where to buy | Event Shop, inside the dimension | Main store (Featured tab) |
| Pool size | 5 pets | 6 pets, plus a Zombified version of each |
| Top chase | Soul Phantom, 0.5% | Bone Emperor, 0.5% |
| Extra twist | None | 1% Zombified re-roll on every hatch |

The Robux egg’s six base pets are Pumpkin Fiend (39%), Night Fang (24%), Tombstone Bear (18%), Grave Cerberus (11%), Phantom Dragon (6.5%) and Bone Emperor (0.5%). Bundles run 99 Robux for one, 249 for three, 799 for ten and 3,499 for fifty. If you don’t want to spend Robux, the Candy Corn egg is your only paid-with-time option, and the free biome eggs are your other route.
Free Alternatives: The 18 Biome Pets
You don’t need the shop egg to build a Halloween roster. The dimension’s three zones (Graveyard, Haunted Swamp and Abandoned Manor) each spawn eggs for six pets, 18 in total, and you steal them like any other egg. The rare ones are tiny slices of each zone’s spawn pool:
| Zone | Rare pet | Spawn chance |
| Zone 1 | Ghost Reaper | 0.31% |
| Zone 2 | Shelltide Voyager | 0.31% |
| Zone 3 | Abomination Kong | 0.31% |
| Zone 3 | Voidseer Pumpkin | 0.056% |
Biome eggs also pay roughly 100 Candy Corn each when you return them, so stealing works twice: it feeds your next shop egg and fills your pet collection. Each biome behaves like the regular map’s zones, and our biomes explains how Speed and guardians scale outside the event.
Is the Halloween Dimension Egg Worth Buying?
Yes, for your first one or two. The currency costs nothing but time, the pool has no junk, and even the common Candy Corn pet is Legendary. A couple of eggs also gets you first-hatch Pet Index rewards for each new pet.
Not as a Soul Phantom lottery, unless you’ve already got Candy Corn piling up. The expected cost is huge, and the dimension is only open until October 24.
A sensible plan: buy one egg as soon as you hit 2,250, see what you get, then decide whether the rest of your Candy Corn goes toward more eggs or you keep stealing biome pets instead. Check the latest Steal an Egg updates for Part 2 news before you spend a big stack.
What Isn’t Confirmed Yet?
- Part 2 changes. The developers describe this as a two-part event, so prices, odds and rewards can shift.
- Per-kill payouts. Reports range from about 12 to 100 Candy Corn depending on the monster.
- Egg return rewards. Some players see a flat 100, others report it scaling with egg rarity.
- Blood Moon scope. Doubled monster rewards are clear. Everything else is disputed.
- Portal Speed requirement. Reports conflict, so treat any exact number as unverified.
- Post-event availability. The Halloween Dimension Egg is expected to leave the shop when the event ends, and it’s unclear whether it returns later.
