The Halloween Dimension in Steal an Egg is a spooky side world you enter through a portal at spawn, right next to the Trails Shop. Inside you get three new biomes (Graveyard, Haunted Swamp and Abandoned Manor), 18 new pets, a new event currency called Candy Corn, and a haunted train, the Phantom Express, that leads to the new Spectral Mutation. Save up 2,250 Candy Corn and you can buy the event egg. The official event listing runs from October 17 to October 24, 2026, and it is billed as a two-part event, so part two is still to come.
Everything below is sorted by what you’ll actually do first: get in, earn Candy Corn, pick the right egg, then chase the ticket and the mutation.
How Do You Enter the Halloween Dimension?
You don’t need a quest or a key to get in. Follow this route:
- Join Steal an Egg and run to the spawn area.
- Find the glowing Halloween portal beside the Trails Shop.
- Step through. You land in the Corrupted Realm, which has its own safe zone and event shop.
- Head back through the portal whenever you have an egg you want to hatch at your base.

If the portal isn’t there, rejoin a fresh server so you load the latest update. No Speed requirement for the dimension has been published, so as far as anyone can tell it is open to every player. Update 9 is also logged in our Steal an Egg updates page if you want the full patch history.
The Three Biomes: What Each One Is For
Each biome holds six new pets, which is where the 18 comes from. They also split the activities, so you’ll bounce between them.
| Biome | What happens there | Why you care |
| Graveyard | Home of the Pumpkin Collection Event. You catch Pumpkins and drop them at the Pumpkin Patch. | A win pays 1,000 Candy Corn. |
| Haunted Swamp | The Ghost Fisherman, Echo the Ghost Dog and the Phantom Express station. | Fishing, the Haunted Rod and the train ticket all start here. |
| Abandoned Manor | The rarest Halloween eggs. Secret Blood Moon Eggs spawn here. | The riskiest runs, and the best pets. |
Pumpkins can spawn anywhere in the dimension, so you don’t have to stay in the Graveyard to find one. The regular zones work differently, and our guide to all 13 Steal an Egg biomes covers their Speed gates and guardians if you’re comparing.
How to Farm Candy Corn Fast
Candy Corn is the only currency you need for the event egg. There are four ways to earn it:
| Source | Candy Corn |
| Defeat a monster with your bat | 20 to 100 |
| Steal an egg and return it to your base | 100 per egg |
| Win the Pumpkin Collection Event | 1,000 |
| Fish with the Haunted Rod in the swamp | 20 to 40 per catch |
The event egg costs 2,250, so the math is simple. That is about 23 successful egg runs, or three Pumpkin wins, or somewhere between 23 and 112 monster kills depending on what drops. A mixed plan beats any single method: do the Pumpkin event the moment it starts, steal eggs between rounds because every return pays 100, and fish while you wait for the next one.

The Blood Moon is the other big lever. It’s a random event that doubles the Candy Corn from monster kills, so it’s the time to fight instead of fish. One thing to treat carefully: it’s clear that kills pay double, but reports differ on whether egg returns and the Pumpkin reward also double. Check your Candy Corn counter during the first Blood Moon and trust what you see.
Halloween Dimension Egg vs Halloween Egg: Which One Should You Buy?
There are two different eggs, and the names make it easy to mix them up.
| Halloween Dimension Egg | Halloween Egg | |
| How you pay | 2,250 Candy Corn | Robux, from 99 for one egg to 3,499 for 50 |
| Where | The Halloween shop in the safe zone | The in-game store |
| Pool | One of five pets | Displayed chances from 39% down to 0.5% |
| Extra | Part of the 23 event pets | A 1% chance to reroll into the Zombified version |
By our count, 18 biome pets plus the five from the Candy Corn egg lines up with the 23 event pets players are reporting. Hatch odds for the Candy Corn egg aren’t shown in the game, and trackers disagree on them, so don’t plan around a specific percentage yet.

The pick is easy. Spend Candy Corn first, because it costs you nothing but time. The store egg only makes sense if you want the Zombified version and are fine gambling on a 1% reroll, the same idea as the Skeletal reroll on the Extinction Egg. If you want to see where the new pets will slot into the Index, keep all Steal an Egg pets open in another tab.
Where Are Echo’s Four Lost Items?
Echo is a ghost dog near the three mausoleums on the left side of the spawn area. His quest, Echo’s Memories, asks you to find four things he lost. Finishing it is step one toward the train ticket.
| Item | Area | Landmark |
| Favorite Toy (a white rabbit) | Near the pumpkin altar | In front of the closest pumpkin house, straight ahead of Echo |
| Chewed Bone | Swamp, Phantom Express station | Among the riverbank rocks in front of the station |
| Old Collar | Swamp | Beside a large tree just past the station, near the old tracks |
| Old Photograph | Abandoned Manor entrance | Behind two pumpkins and a rock, left of the gate |

A sensible order is toy, bone, collar, photograph, since that follows the map from the spawn side toward the manor. There’s no official map, and players describe the landmarks a little differently, so use these as a search area and not an exact pin.
How Does the Phantom Express Ticket Work?
You need the Phantom Express Ticket to ride the train, and it takes two quest stages:
- Finish Echo’s four-item quest.
- Talk to the Ghost Fisherman in the Haunted Swamp and take the Haunted Rod.
- Complete the fishing challenge, including the sea-mine section, to earn the ticket.
- Wait for the train. The Phantom Express arrives every 30 minutes, on the hour and half-hour.
The Haunted Rod also fishes up Candy Corn, so the grind overlaps nicely with your egg budget. Once you board, you’re taken to a separate area where the Spectral Mutation is earned.
Spectral Mutation: Souls, Shards and a 25% Gamble
On the train ride you pick up a Ghost Vacuum and suck up ghosts to collect Souls, also called Haunted Spirits. You then trade those Souls at the shrine in the same area for a Spectral Mutation Shard. Each shard has only a 25% chance of applying the mutation to the egg you choose, so on average you’ll need about four shards for one success.
That leaves two numbers that need a straight answer. Reports put the Soul cost at 500 in some places and 1,000 in others, so read the price on the shrine before you commit. The Spectral multiplier also hasn’t been confirmed. If you want a mutation with a known outcome, the Enchanted Mutation is the safer comparison, while the Nitro mutation is another gamble with reported odds.
Blood Moon and Pumpkin Collection: When to Push Hard
Both events boost your Candy Corn, and they work on different clocks. The Pumpkin Collection Event is a Graveyard round with a 1,000 Candy Corn win, so it’s the best payout per minute you’ll find. The Blood Moon is random, so don’t wait for it. Keep farming normally and switch to monsters when the sky turns.
What Isn’t Confirmed Yet
Because this is a live update, a few details are still moving:
- Part two. The developer calls this a two-part event but hasn’t said what part two adds or when it starts.
- Pet stats. Rarity and income for the 18 biome pets weren’t published at the time of writing.
- Egg odds. The Candy Corn egg’s hatch chances are unconfirmed.
- Spectral Mutation. The multiplier and the exact Soul price are still disputed.
- Codes. No Steal an Egg codes are listed for Halloween.
- End date. The event listing shows October 24, 2026, but a second part could change that.
If you’re also tracking last week’s content, the Mounts and the Racing Event are still live alongside this one.
