There are 13 biomes in Steal an Egg right now. They unlock in a fixed order of Speed requirement: Forest, Lake, Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric, Cosmic, Cherry Blossom, Titan Temple, Angels & Demons, and the newest, the Enchanted Forest, which asks for roughly 50 billion Speed. Forest is free. Everything after it is gated by a number and a guardian that chases you the second you grab an egg.
This page lists every zone’s Speed gate, guardian, top pet and the one thing that makes it different, and it gets updated whenever a new biome drops. Bookmark it if you want the current map, not last month’s.

How Many Biomes Are in Steal an Egg Right Now?
Thirteen, and that number has only gone up. The game launched with nine zones ending at Cosmic, and the map has stretched roughly one biome at a time since.
| Biome | How it arrived |
| Cherry Blossom | Update 1, the first prestige zone past Cosmic |
| Titan Temple | Update 2, the Monster update |
| Angels & Demons | September 12, 2026 update |
| Enchanted Forest | Update 7, October 3, 2026 |
The pattern matters if you play long-term: new biomes tend to land on weekly updates, usually on Saturdays, and each one has pushed the Speed ceiling roughly 2.5x to 40x past the last. Cosmic is the biggest single wall in the early map. Going from Prehistoric to Cosmic is a jump of about 40x, which is why so many players stall around 18M.
Why the Speed Number in the Table Isn’t Your Real Entry Speed
The Speed requirement is a floor, not a safe speed. Meeting it means the biome lets you in and the guardian is theoretically outrunnable. It does not mean you’ll make it home.
Three things eat into your margin:
- Egg weight. Heavy and giant eggs add carry drag, so a run that works with a light egg can fail with a huge one at the same Speed.
- Route length. Later biomes sit much farther from your base, so you’re exposed to the guardian for longer.
- Guardian aggression. The Jungle Tiger, for example, patrols hard enough that most players feel safer well above 40K.
A guardian can’t be fought. If it catches you, you’re ragdolled and the egg is gone. Your only counters are Speed, trails and clean routing. Eggs also reset every five minutes, so you can always try again, but a failed run costs you the timer on that nest.
A practical rule: when you can clear a biome with a heavy egg and still have a gap behind you, you’re ready to farm it. Until then, treat the listed Speed as the start of your training target, not the end.
Early Biomes: Forest, Lake, Desert and Jungle

Forest (no Speed requirement)
Forest is the starting zone. The Chicken guardian is slow enough that a brand-new account can carry an egg home without trouble. Its pets stay in the Common to Legendary range, and Brr Brr Patapim at around $1.8K/s is the prize.
Lake (900 Speed)
Lake is the first real gate, and 900 Speed is cheap once your treadmill is running. It’s worth farming longer than most players do, because it holds Leviathan, which reportedly earns about $220K/s and is the first Cosmic-rarity pet most players hatch. The Swan guardian is forgiving.
Desert (10K Speed)
Desert is an 11x jump from Lake, and the Scorpion is the first guardian that will realistically catch an under-trained player, especially while you’re slowed by a bigger egg. The payoff is Royal Sphinx at roughly $280K/s.
Jungle (40K Speed)
Jungle is where income stops creeping and starts climbing. King Snake, the earliest Secret-rarity pet, reportedly pays around $3.5M/s. The Tiger hunts aggressively, so plan on entering well past the 40K floor.
Mid-Game Biomes: Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean and Prehistoric
Snow (170K Speed)
Snow is the first real mid-game wall. The Yeti guards the first Eternal pet, Ice Dragon, at about $65M/s, and clearing the biome multiplies what a full pen earns roughly twentyfold compared to Jungle.
Volcano (700K Speed)
Volcano is arguably the best value-per-run zone in the mid game. It holds two Eternal pets, Phoenix and Lava Dragon (about $100M/s), as long as you can beat the guardian. Most trackers call that guardian Cerberus; a few still say Hellhound.
Abyss Ocean (2.5M Speed)
Abyss Ocean is the first million-Speed gate. Moby patrols it, and the pets here, including El Maja at around $130M/s, push income into the hundreds of millions per second.
Prehistoric (17M–18M Speed)
Prehistoric is a near-7x jump from Abyss Ocean. T-Rex is both the guardian and a Secret-tier pet you can chase, Tralaledon is another Secret, and Mosasaurus tops the zone at roughly $180M/s.
Late-Game Biomes: Cosmic to the Enchanted Forest
Cosmic (700M Speed)
Cosmic is the endgame for a lot of players and the only place the Unicorn lives. It’s the first Divine pet in the game at about $1B/s. The 700M gate is roughly 40x Prehistoric, so expect a long training stretch before you can run it.
Cherry Blossom (about 2.5B Speed)
Cherry Blossom sits past Cosmic and adds a system the earlier zones don’t have. Its eggs hatch the Crane, an Epic pet that is the key to unlocking the Sakura Incubator at the back of the biome. The incubator charges eggs toward the Bloom and Spirit Bloom mutations, and you feed it Sakura Crystals during the recurring Great Bloom event, which reportedly fires every 30 minutes and lasts only about three minutes.
You don’t need a Crane to steal a basic egg here. The Crane only matters for the incubator. Kitsune, the Divine pet of the zone, is reported at about $1.8B/s.
Titan Temple (about 7B Speed)
Titan Temple is the Monster update biome, and the Gorilla King both guards it and appears as one of its eight pets. Being the guardian doesn’t make it a guaranteed drop. Nightflame is the pet people chase here, but its income is reported inconsistently, with figures ranging from a few billion per second to claims that are wildly higher, so treat any specific number as unconfirmed.
Angels & Demons (about 20B Speed)

This one is two biomes in one body. Each night the zone can flip into Angels, whose eggs hatch eight Light pets topping out at ArchAngel, or into Demons, whose eggs hatch eight Darkness pets topping out at World Burner. Occasionally the two merge and both egg types sit on the map at once with extra luck while it lasts. A Secret Shrine hides behind a waterfall and only accepts Light or Darkness Eternal and Divine pets. If you’re hunting the Angel Egg, this is the neighborhood.
Enchanted Forest (about 50B Speed)
The Enchanted Forest biome is the farthest zone on the map. A starry lion guards it, and its egg pool holds eight pets: Prism Gecko (Legendary), Petal Beetle and Enchanted Bluejay (Mythic), Astral Jackalope and Spirit Panda (Cosmic), Starry Fox (Secret), Celestial Sunlion (Eternal) and Royal Skywhale (Divine). The full breakdown lives in the Enchanted Forest creatures list.

The zone is also the home of the Wisp quests: steal 20 Enchanted Forest eggs, fuse one Enchanted Forest pet using three matching copies, and steal any Eternal egg from any biome. Finish all three and the sealed Enchanted Tree opens. Inside, the Butterfly Bloom event feeds the 100%-success Enchanted Mutation, and two secrets are hidden in there too: a musical band and a fusion machine.
One caution. At least one tracker says the 50B figure is a recommendation, not a hard-coded gate. Plan around 50B and you won’t be wrong either way.
Which Steal an Egg Biome Should You Farm at Your Speed?
Don’t linger in a zone you’ve outgrown, and don’t suicide-run one you can’t escape. Farm each biome until its pets replace your weakest earners, then push Speed for the next gate. As a rough map:
| Your Speed | Where to farm | Why |
| Under 900 | Forest | Free, slow guardian, safe practice |
| 900 to 40K | Lake, then Desert | Leviathan and Royal Sphinx are big early upgrades |
| 40K to 700K | Jungle, Snow | King Snake and Ice Dragon are the first big income spikes |
| 700K to 18M | Volcano, Abyss Ocean | Two Eternals in Volcano, hundreds of millions per second after |
| 18M to 700M | Prehistoric | Mosasaurus and the Secret-tier T-Rex |
| 700M+ | Cosmic, then Cherry Blossom | Unicorn, then Kitsune and the Sakura Incubator |
| 7B+ | Titan Temple, Angels & Demons | The late-game ladder |
| ~50B | Enchanted Forest | Newest pets, Wisp and Enchanted Tree |
If you’re stuck between two zones, the cheaper question is usually the right one: can you clear this biome with your heaviest egg and still have room to spare? If yes, move on.
Biome Numbers That Trackers Disagree On
Not every figure on the web matches, and some of them have shifted between updates. Here’s where the numbers split, so you don’t lose a run to a typo:
- Prehistoric Speed. Listed as 17M by some trackers and 18M by others. Aim for 18M to be safe.
- Cherry Blossom Speed. Commonly 2.5B, but some reports put the practical floor around 3.5B to 4.5B, probably from a retune between updates.
- Volcano guardian. Most call it Cerberus; a few still say Hellhound.
- Abyss Ocean guardian. Moby in most lists, Beluga Whale in a few.
- Cosmic guardian. Dragon in most lists, a Cosmic Skeleton boss in others.
- Cherry Blossom guardian. Reported as Oni Tiger, Kitsune and a nine-tailed fox in different places, so there’s no clean consensus yet.
- Titan Temple and Angels & Demons income. Not reliably published.
When the in-game text and a guide disagree, the game wins.
What’s Coming After the Enchanted Forest?
The Update 8 patch notes close with a teaser for the Halloween Dimension expansion, a two-part Halloween event with a new dimension to explore. Saturday, October 17 fits the weekly pattern, but no date is confirmed. Nothing about its Speed requirement, pets or whether it counts as a numbered biome has been published, so it isn’t in the table above yet. Once it goes live, this page gets a new row.

To follow each drop as it lands, the Steal an Egg updates page tracks every patch. If you’re also riding your pets between zones, the Mounts update is worth a look.
