The Steal a Brainrot Skeleton Event is the hourly Spooky Skeletons event added in Update 71. Skeletons roam the map, stamp skeleton traits onto brainrots, and three limited Secret brainrots become available: Skelly and Coffy ($155M/s), Chicken Zombie ($5.5M/s) and Co Co Co Sahur ($1.7M/s). It repeats every hour, so missing one window costs you nothing long-term.
Here’s what’s confirmed, what’s still murky, and how to prepare so you don’t waste an activation.
Skeleton Event at a Glance
| Detail | Info |
| Event name | Skeleton Event (also called Spooky Skeletons / Spooky Scary Skeletons) |
| Added in | Update 71, Halloween Part 2 (October 17, 2026) |
| How often | Every hour |
| Rarest skeleton | Witch Skeleton, 5% chance |
| Event brainrots | Skelly and Coffy, Chicken Zombie, Co Co Co Sahur (all Secret) |
| End date | Not announced |
Community documentation credits the event to a leak from the developer Sammy, who also licensed the song “Spooky Scary Skeletons” for it. The numbers above come from the community wiki and event guides, not an in-game odds screen, so treat them as reported figures.
How Does the Skeleton Event Work Hour to Hour?
Once an hour, the event kicks in and skeletons start moving around the map. When they touch a brainrot, they can hand it a skeleton trait. The plain Skeleton is the most common result. The Witch Skeleton is the rarest.
At the same time, the three event brainrots can appear. That’s the whole loop.
It sounds simple, but the timing matters. Because the event fires every hour, you get roughly 24 shots a day. That changes the strategy: you don’t need to camp every window. You need to be ready for the ones you do play.
I couldn’t find an official figure for how long each activation lasts, or the exact minute it starts. If you see a number on another site, check whether it’s describing this event or the older Extinct Event, which ran every two hours for three minutes. They’re different systems.
Which Brainrots Can You Get From the Skeleton Event?
Three Secret brainrots are tied directly to the hourly event:
| Brainrot | Rarity | Base income | Per minute |
| Skelly and Coffy | Secret | $155M/s | about $9.3B |
| Chicken Zombie | Secret | $5.5M/s | about $330M |
| Co Co Co Sahur | Secret | $1.7M/s | about $102M |

The gap is huge. Skelly and Coffy earns about 28 times what Chicken Zombie does and roughly 91 times Co Co Co Sahur’s income. That makes it the only one of the three worth reorganizing your base around.
Co Co Co Sahur is listed at a base cost of $525M. At $1.7M/s, it pays itself back in about five minutes, which is respectable but not exciting. I couldn’t confirm a price for Chicken Zombie or Skelly and Coffy (the wiki shows Skelly and Coffy’s cost as “TBA”), so check your live game before spending.
Is Skelly and Coffy Worth Chasing at $155M/s?
Yes, with a caveat. At $155M/s it’s one of the stronger earners in the October Halloween wave, and the wiki says it also drops through stealing. That gives you a backup route if the event doesn’t hand you one.

Compare it with the rest of Update 71. Arca Bros earns $250M/s and Medusini and Demonini earns $180M/s, but neither comes from this event. Skelly and Coffy sits in third place by income, yet it’s the only one of the top three you can pick up just by being online each hour.
The caveat: nobody has published a per-activation chance for it. So “worth chasing” means worth showing up prepared, not worth planning your night around.
What Does the Witch Skeleton Actually Change?
The Witch Skeleton is the rarest skeleton variant, at a 5% chance. It applies its own trait to brainrots, and because traits are permanent, a hit on a strong brainrot can matter more than any event spawn.
Here’s the honest limit of what’s known. Event guides confirm the 5% figure and that skeletons apply traits. They don’t list an income multiplier for each skeleton trait. One database I found shows a Skeleton trait at ×3, but it ties that trait to the old Extinct Event, so I wouldn’t rely on it for this one.
Until a multiplier is confirmed, the safe approach is simple. Watch where the Witch Skeleton walks and keep your best brainrots within reach. Our traits and mutations guides explain how those modifiers stack once you know the numbers.
Skeleton Event vs the Rest of Update 71
Seven brainrots arrived around this update, but only three come from the hourly event. This is where players waste the most time, so here’s the full split:
| Brainrot | Rarity | Base income | Known route |
| Arca Bros | Secret | $250M/s | Merchandise DLC code |
| Medusini and Demonini | Secret | $180M/s | Update 71 lineup (red carpet) |
| Skelly and Coffy | Secret | $155M/s | Skeleton Event |
| Cobra Gelato | Secret | $77.5M/s | Merchandise DLC code |
| Chicken Zombie | Secret | $5.5M/s | Skeleton Event |
| Co Co Co Sahur | Secret | $1.7M/s | Skeleton Event |
| Slushi Huski | Brainrot God | $322.5K/s | Merchandise DLC code |
Arca Bros, Cobra Gelato and Slushi Huski are merchandise rewards redeemed through the game’s code system. Standing around during the Skeleton Event won’t earn you any of them.
How Should You Set Up Your Base Before the Next Hourly Window?
A full base is the easiest way to blow a rare spawn. Do these before the hour rolls over:
- Leave one slot open. If Skelly and Coffy shows up, you don’t want to be selling something while another player is already running for it.
- Keep spare cash. Co Co Co Sahur alone is listed at $525M.
- Don’t swap out a strong mutated brainrot at the last second. A skeleton trait could land on it.
- Stand near the central route. Reaction time beats chat alerts.
- Protect new arrivals right away. Check your Grief Shield status, because a $155M/s brainrot is a target the moment it hits your base.
None of this is exotic. It’s the same discipline that separates players who keep event brainrots from players who lose them in the next minute.
Why Isn’t the Skeleton Event Starting?
Usually it’s one of two things. First, your server may still be running the older Update 70 build, which has the Skull Lucky Block but no hourly skeletons. Leave and rejoin a fresh server.
Second, you may have joined between activations. The event is hourly, not constant. If you’ve just loaded in, the next window is coming, so keep playing instead of assuming it’s broken.
Skeleton Event, Skull Lucky Block or Dragon Skeletonini: What’s the Difference?
The names overlap, so it’s easy to mix them up.
- Skeleton Event: the hourly Update 71 event described here.
- Skull Lucky Block: an Update 70 block. It costs $500M and holds eight brainrots, including Flying Dutchman (0.5%) and Dragon Skeletonini (0.1%).
- Dragon Skeletonini: an Update 70 Secret from that block, earning $325M/s. It isn’t an event reward.
- Vulturino Skeletono: a 2025 Witch Fuse brainrot, now marked unobtainable on the wiki.

If you’re after the block’s drops instead, our Lucky Blocks guide covers how each block works, and the Admin Abuse schedule shows when admins spawn them.
When Does the Skeleton Event End?
Nothing official says. It’s part of the Halloween event, and the community wiki lists the end date as unknown. Last year’s Witch Fuse ran from October 11 to November 8, 2025, which is a precedent, not a promise.
If you want its brainrots, play it while it’s live. The Haunted Fuse is the other Halloween route if you’d rather craft than wait on spawns. Official announcements land on the game’s Roblox, and the community Skeleton Event tracks changes as players test them.
If you pick up a Secret and wonder what it’s worth to other players, the values list shows how the market is pricing the new units.
Quick Recap
The Skeleton Event runs every hour in Update 71 and offers three Secret brainrots, with Skelly and Coffy ($155M/s) as the one worth chasing. The Witch Skeleton shows up 5% of the time. Per-activation odds, trait multipliers and the end date are unconfirmed, so recheck after any patch.
