Candy Corn is the event currency in Steal an Egg‘s Halloween update, and you only spend it on one thing: the Halloween Dimension Egg, which costs 2,250. You earn it by defeating monsters with your bat, returning stolen eggs, winning the Pumpkin Collection Event and fishing with the Haunted Rod. The fastest mix is to hunt the high-paying monsters, join every Pumpkin round and push hard during a Blood Moon, which doubles kill rewards.
Everything here lives inside the new area from the Steal an Egg Halloween Dimension event, so this page zooms in on the currency itself: where it comes from, how fast it comes, and where it’s worth spending.
What Is Candy Corn Used For?
Right now Candy Corn has a single job. You trade it at the Halloween Event Shop, in the safe zone of the Corrupted Realm, for the Halloween Dimension Egg. That egg is one of the 23 event pets in the update, and it hatches one of five pets.

You can’t buy it with Robux, and you can’t trade Candy Corn to other players. The store’s separate Halloween Egg is the Robux option, so don’t mix the two up. Candy Corn only works in the event shop.
All Four Ways to Earn Candy Corn
| Method | Reported reward | Notes |
| Defeat monsters with your bat | 12 to 100 per kill | Pay varies a lot by monster type |
| Steal an egg and return it to your base | About 100 per egg | Some players report it scales with egg rarity |
| Win the Pumpkin Collection Event | 1,000 | Graveyard round; catch Pumpkins and return them to the Pumpkin Patch |
| Fish with the Haunted Rod | 20 to 40 per catch | Unlocked after Echo’s quest |

Two details are worth knowing. Pumpkins can spawn anywhere in the dimension, so you don’t need to stay in the Graveyard to catch one. And the Haunted Rod is permanent once you have it, so fishing is a steady fallback when the monsters thin out.
Which Monsters Pay the Most Candy Corn?
Not every monster is worth your swing. The two best targets reported so far are the Soul Phantom and the Pumpkin Golem, which each drop 65 Candy Corn. The weakest enemies pay around 12, so the same effort can earn you five times more depending on what you hit.
One more thing to avoid: ghosts chase you but don’t pay out. If a ghost is on your tail, run instead of fighting.
How Many Kills Does One Halloween Dimension Egg Cost?
The answer depends on what you’re hitting, so here is the math for the 2,250 Candy Corn price:
| If each kill pays | Kills for one egg |
| 12 Candy Corn | About 188 |
| 65 Candy Corn | About 35 |
| 100 Candy Corn | About 23 |
The gap is huge. Farming 188 low-value monsters is a slog, while 35 Soul Phantoms or Pumpkin Golems is a short session. A single Pumpkin Collection win pays 1,000, which covers almost half an egg in one round.
The Fastest Way to Farm Candy Corn
Mix the methods instead of repeating one. This order works well:
- Join every Pumpkin Collection round. At 1,000 Candy Corn per win, it’s the best payout for your time.
- Hunt Soul Phantoms and Pumpkin Golems between rounds. Skip the low-paying monsters when a better one is nearby.
- Steal and return eggs while you move around. Each return pays even when you fail to find a good monster.
- Save your fighting for a Blood Moon. Monster kills pay double while it lasts, so that’s the time to farm instead of fish.
- Finish Echo’s quest early. It unlocks the Haunted Rod, which gives you a free Candy Corn source for the rest of the event.

Is Spending Candy Corn Worth It?
For most players, yes, because the currency costs time and nothing else. The only real question is whether to buy the egg right away or wait. Since the odds for the Candy Corn egg aren’t confirmed, one reported table lists the most common result at 51%, while other trackers say no rates are shown in the game. That means you can’t judge the value of a single egg yet. Treat your first purchase as a test, and keep farming if you like what hatches.

If you’d like to see where the new pets will land once they’re listed, keep all pets bookmarked.
What Isn’t Confirmed Yet
Because the event is live, some numbers are still shaky:
- Per-kill rewards. Reports range from 12 to 100 depending on the monster, and one figure comes from a single video.
- Egg return rewards. It’s listed as a flat 100 in some places and as rarity-based in others.
- Blood Moon scope. Double rewards on kills are clear, but whether it also doubles egg returns and Pumpkin wins is disputed.
- Egg odds. The Candy Corn egg’s hatch chances are unconfirmed.
- Part two. The developer calls this a two-part event, and part two hasn’t been detailed, so rewards and prices could change.
