The Enchanted Forest is the thirteenth biome in Steal an Egg, and its eggs hatch eight new creatures: Prism Gecko, Petal Beetle, Enchanted Bluejay, Astral Jackalope, Spirit Panda, Starry Fox, Celestial Sunlion and Royal Skywhale. You need around 50B Speed to farm its nests, because an enchanted lion guards them.
Four of the eight are the rare pulls. The Starry Fox is a Secret egg that spawns out in the open and gets announced to the whole server.
This guide covers every creature, what is actually confirmed about rarity, how egg spawns work here, and where the secret-room pets fit in. Where the community hasn’t verified something yet, I say so instead of guessing.
Which Creatures Hatch From Enchanted Forest Eggs?
Update 7 added an 8-pet Index to the biome. The roster below follows the list published by Hold to Reset on the update’s release week, and the Index completion reward is reportedly a new weapon.
| # | Pet | Where it sits in the pool |
| 1 | Prism Gecko | Standard pull |
| 2 | Petal Beetle | Standard pull |
| 3 | Enchanted Bluejay | Standard pull |
| 4 | Astral Jackalope | Standard pull (see rarity note below) |
| 5 | Spirit Panda | Rarer pull |
| 6 | Starry Fox | Rarer pull (Secret egg) |
| 7 | Celestial Sunlion | Rarer pull, among the rarest to spawn |
| 8 | Royal Skywhale | Rarer pull, among the rarest to spawn |
Notice the pattern: the first four are the everyday hatches, and the last four are what you’re really here for. The Celestial Sunlion and Royal Skywhale are described as the hardest of the lot to see spawn.
How Rare Is Each Enchanted Forest Pet?
This is where trackers disagree, so here is what each source actually supports.
| Pet | Reported rarity | How solid is it? |
| Starry Fox | Secret | Two separate sources agree |
| Astral Jackalope | Cosmic | One tracker, from contributor notes |
| Spirit Panda | Cosmic | One tracker, from contributor notes |
| Celestial Sunlion | Eternal | One video-based walkthrough |
| Royal Skywhale | Divine | Same walkthrough |
| Prism Gecko, Petal Beetle, Enchanted Bluejay | Not confirmed | No source gives a tier yet |
Two honest caveats. First, one list treats the Astral Jackalope as a standard pull while another tags it Cosmic, so don’t treat that tier as final. Second, income per second has not been published for any of these eight pets. Sites listing a number are either blank or marked “verifying,” and I’m not going to invent one.
What you can rely on is the general system. Steal an Egg runs on ten rarity tiers from Common to Divine, and a pet’s size, weight and mutation push its income above the base figure. A big mutated pull from a lower tier can beat a plain hatch from a higher one.
Who Actually Guards the Eggs? Lion, Sunlion or Runebear?
The biome is guarded by an enchanted lion. TechWiser’s guide states you need at least 50B Speed to outrun it, and Wiki Realm describes it as a giant purple lion covered in stars with golden paws. Its official name is still unconfirmed.
Hold to Reset calls the area’s boss a Celestial Sunlion, which would line up with the starry lion description. That is a reasonable match, but I’d treat it as likely rather than proven.

There’s also a loose end. A few Index-style pages mention an Amethyst Runebear, and one tracker lists it as a Secret pet. It doesn’t appear in Hold to Reset’s eight. Until the in-game Index settles, consider it unresolved.
What Does Stealing Eggs at 50B Speed Look Like?
The 50B figure is the recommended gate, not a comfort zone. It is the highest Speed requirement in the game, more than double the roughly 20B for Angels & Demons. Large, heavy eggs slow your carry, so bring margin.
Eggs reset on a five-minute cycle, with about 4 minutes 50 seconds of active play followed by a short reset. Secret, Eternal and Divine eggs can roll during that reset, and the server announces them with their name and location.
In practice, that announcement is your cue. Don’t wander the biome hoping to stumble onto a rare egg. Watch for the notification, move straight to the nest, and have your carry route planned before the lion wakes.
The Starry Fox: A Secret Egg You Can’t Schedule
The Starry Fox is the biome’s headline creature. Its Secret egg spawns in the open biome rather than behind a quest, so every player in the server can contest it.

Spawn timing hasn’t been published, and I haven’t seen a verified drop chance. Treat claims of a “guaranteed” spawn schedule with suspicion. What works is simply being in the Enchanted Forest with enough Speed when the announcement fires.
If you’re sitting below 50B, you’ll lose the race to anyone who isn’t.
Why You Should Steal 20 Eggs Before You Chase Rarities
Egg-stealing here doubles as progress toward the Wisp questline. Reaching 50B Speed makes the Wisp appear, and it asks for three things in order:
- Steal 20 Enchanted Forest eggs.
- Complete a fusion using an Enchanted Forest pet at your base Fuse Machine.
- Steal any Eternal egg.
The third step stalls most players. Eternal eggs are top-tier drops, and sources say any biome counts, so an Eternal Gorilla King run or a Volcano Eternal both work toward it.
One discrepancy to know about: TechWiser reports 10 eggs and 20 fused animals, while most others report 20 eggs and a single fusion. The chain itself is the same everywhere, so trust the counter on your own quest panel.
For the fusion step, one report used three Prism Geckos at the Fuse Machine. The machine takes three pets of the same species and returns one egg, and the result is a fresh roll with no guaranteed upgrade. That’s why your cheap standard pulls are the safe fusion fodder.
Butterflies, Enchanted Essence and the Guaranteed Mutation
Finishing the quest opens the Enchanted Tree, where you pick up a Butterfly Net and unlock the Butterfly Bloom event. Bloom runs every 30 minutes, at :15 and :45 past the hour, with an in-game notice when it starts.

Equip the net and run through the butterflies to catch them. There are four types: Emerald, Sapphire, Amethyst and Radiant, the rarest.
| Trade-up | Result |
| 10 Emerald Butterflies | 1 Sapphire Butterfly |
| 10 Sapphire Butterflies | 1 Amethyst Butterfly |
| 50 Amethyst Butterflies | 1 Radiant Butterfly |
You then spend butterflies at the Enchanted Mutation Shrine for Enchanted Essence. It gives a guaranteed (100%) Enchanted Mutation that you apply to an egg before it hatches.
TechWiser lists figures of 240 Emerald, 115 Sapphire, 40 Amethyst and 1 Radiant for the mutation. It doesn’t explain how those relate to each other, and they don’t scale neatly against the trade-up rates above, so check the shrine’s own price screen. The mutation’s income multiplier is also still unpublished.
The sensible move is to save Essence for an egg that already looks valuable, such as a heavy one or a rare you’ve just stolen.
What Are the Secret Room Eggs and the Two-Player Fusion?
Behind the tree sits a hidden lounge that leads to Cricket’s Banjo. You can play it for music or swing it at other players, and playing it at the top of the tree conjures a bridge to a hidden room.
Two rewards are reported there. Hold to Reset mentions a special Banjo and Banjo Egg, while another tracker names a Jitterbug egg. Those may be the same reward under different names, so I’m not treating them as separate.
The room also has a co-op fuse altar. You and another player can fuse the Celestial Sunlion and Royal Skywhale together. The output hasn’t been shown clearly, so there’s no confirmed result to report yet.
Is the Enchanted Forest Worth Farming Right Now?
It depends on your Speed. If you’re at or above 50B, yes: the Mutation system and the Starry Fox alone make it the best long-term target. If you’re below it, put your effort into Speed first, since you’ll mostly feed the lion.

Fuse only duplicates you can spare. Fusion is a re-roll, and it can come back worse than what you put in.
Also keep an eye on balance. The biome is days old, and the devs could retune spawn rates, quest counts or Essence costs in a Saturday update. Steal an Egg also runs timed events like the Rift event that compete for the same play time, so plan your sessions around the Bloom schedule.
What’s Still Unconfirmed (As of Update 7)
- Income per second for all eight pets
- Confirmed rarity for Prism Gecko, Petal Beetle and Enchanted Bluejay
- The lion guardian’s official name, and whether the Amethyst Runebear belongs in the Index
- Starry Fox spawn rate
- The Enchanted Mutation’s multiplier
- The result of the Sunlion and Skywhale co-op fusion
- Exact Wisp quest counts (10 vs 20 eggs)
