Every 30 minutes his experiment drones flood the map, you knock them down with your bat, and the Samples they drop buy limited rewards in the Experiment Shop. A hidden side quest runs alongside it: Nibbles (Experiment #013) needs five missing Vault Parts to repair a stolen machine.

Where Dr. Scramble Came From (and What He Left Behind)
Dr. Scramble arrived with the Sammy Is Coming update on September 19, 2026. In the story cutscene, Sammy visits, Dr. Scramble takes control of his mind, and Ben’s crew breaks the spell. The patch carries Sammy’s name, but the recurring event that stayed behind is officially called the Dr. Scramble Event.
It is the newest layer on top of the Rift Event and Update 4 content rather than a replacement for either. Early post-launch reports found the Rift still active, and its Boss Tokens have nothing to do with Dr. Scramble’s Samples. Check the shop’s title before you spend anything.
How Often Does the Dr. Scramble Event Spawn?
The official patch notes say the drones invade the map every 30 minutes. Community guides add that each wave stays active for about five minutes, which makes the farming window short and worth planning around.

One guide claims the event runs hourly. That contradicts the patch notes, so trust the countdown in your own server. A community report also mentions a screen in a hidden vent room that shows the next Experiment time (more on that room below).
Farming Samples: Which Drones Are Worth Hitting First?
Every drone has 5 HP, so each one takes five swings. Equip the bat before the wave starts, because opening menus mid-event burns a window that is already tight. Abyss Ocean is the sensible starting point since guides place the first drones there, and later biomes carry more.
Sample payouts are not flat. Gameplay footage shows single pickups as small as +3 and +7, and one guide says the attack drones with hands pay noticeably more than passive ones. Another says higher-HP drones pay better. Nobody has tested either claim across many waves, so treat “hit the aggressive ones first” as a hypothesis, not a rule.
Since Drone Parts also drop at random, hitting every drone in reach is the one approach that serves both goals: Samples for the shop and progress on the vault.

What to buy first. Plan around the Experiment #001 Egg. The wiki showed a limit of one and a removal timer that ran out roughly a week after launch. Boosters are short-term conveniences, so buy them last and only for time you will actually play. Unlike the Angel Egg chase, where you steal an egg and survive the run home, this one is a straight purchase, so the only real cost is farming time.
Finding Nibbles: The Secret Cave Route in Abyss Ocean
Nibbles is the escaped experiment behind the vault quest, and he hides in a Secret Cave you can walk right past. Here is the route:
- Reach Abyss Ocean. One guide places it between the Prehistoric and Volcano biomes, which is handy because both fixed vault parts sit next door.
- Check the right-hand wall. Look for a small opening in the rock and press E at the entrance to teleport into the cave.
- Talk to Nibbles. After his backstory, the Stolen Experiment Vault screen appears and shows it is missing five parts.
- Look up before you leave. A vent in the wall near Nibbles leads to a secret room styled like a small workshop, and fans read it as a hint about Dr. Scramble’s next move.
Talk to Nibbles before you start farming. One source reports that drone parts may not register until you accept the quest, and another suggests confirming that your tracker reads 0/3 for drone parts first.
Every Stolen Experiment Vault Part and Where to Find It
The vault needs five parts in total: two Lost Parts in the world and three Drone Parts from the event.

Grab the two fixed parts first, since they do not depend on the 30-minute timer. Community routes note that part spawns can vary by server, so if a spot is empty, try one fresh server before you assume you missed it.
What Does the Repaired Vault Actually Give You?
The wiki lists a Bat as the reward for completing the vault, and it describes Nibbles’ mission as ending with a secret item. TechWiser only says Nibbles fixes the machine and hands over whatever is inside. No source we checked showed a finished-quest screen, so the Bat is the best reading available and not a confirmed fact.
Why Isn’t Your Drone Part Counter Moving?
Four fixes cover most stuck counters:
- Confirm the server has the update. Look for the Dr. Scramble event UI before you search an older instance.
- Talk to Nibbles first. Reopen his dialogue and check the quest counter so you know the task is active.
- Separate the two part types. Three parts come from drones and two come from biomes, so repeating one activity will never finish the other.
- Test one fresh server. If a pickup changes nothing, take a screenshot and try one different server once. Endless server-hopping just hides the cause.
What Happens When the Event Ends on September 26?
TechWiser lists Saturday, September 26, 2026 as the end date. Roblox has also scheduled a Dr. Scramble’s Revenge event running from September 26 at 3:00 PM UTC to September 27 at 4:00 PM UTC. Its description says Dr. Scramble targets Ben after losing control of Sammy and returns for a final showdown.
The developers teased the follow-up as a massive update but have not detailed its boss, quest or rewards. Steal an Egg updates are landing on a weekly rhythm right now, so spend your Samples and finish the vault before the switchover. Nobody has confirmed whether unspent Samples carry over.
